The Ultimate Sacrifice
Jesus Christ is the spoken Word of God. The content of what God has spoken. He is the visible image of the invisible God. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.
Jesus the Christ (God the Creator), died upon the cross at Calvary, for the sins of the world.
The Creator died for us, His Creation.
When I look upon the cross
This is it what I see.
Not just pain, nor anquish,
Not just a cruel tree.

Upon one arm Old Testament,
The other, the New.
The whole of the Cross--revelation.
So wondrous, so true.

The Father, the Son, the Spirit
Are one and the same.
For us, to earth,
To die, He came.

To walk among men
To show the way.
That we might live
In eternity's brighter day.

The Greatest Sacrifice

Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died,
on Calvary.

Mercy there was great, and grace
was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found
liberty, at Calvary.

Now I've giv'n to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing,
of Calvary!

Mercy there was great, and grace
was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found
liberty, at Calvary.

Oh, the love that drew Salvation's
plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down
to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span,
At Calvary!

Mercy there was great, and grace
was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found
liberty, at Calvary.
At Calvary

"When they came to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him." Luke 23:33
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14
And the Word (invisible God) was made flesh (God visible as Jesus the Christ, the
enmity of sin. The spoken Word of God).

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy
great is the mystery of godliness: God
was manifest in the flesh, justified in
the Spirit, seen of angels, preached
unto the Gentiles, believed on in the
world, received up into glory.
Who is this Christ, who died for us?
Revelation 15:3 And they sing the
song of Moses the servant of God,
and the song of the Lamb, saying,
Great and marvelous are thy works,
Lord God Almighty; just and true are
thy ways, thou King of the saints.
The enmity of sin

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.
