The Gifts of Salvation

For he hath made him, who knew no sin,
to be sin for us, that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.

But now in Christ Jesus ye who some-
times were afar off are made nigh by the
blood of Christ.

O precious Jesus
You came unto me.
Teaching my heart
The way it should be.

You healed my eyes
That finally they see.
Put wings on my soul
That it fly free.

You restored my mind
From worldly ways.
Now it's my blessing
To sing your praise!

To lift your name
In glorious song.
Singing your praises
All the day long!

With the Spirits anointing
You have become
A part of Christ's body
A precious one.

Wisdom shall be given
Blinded eye shall see.
Your soul will be lifted
From all sin now free.

Also knowledge
Of things unseen.
A measure of faith
On which to lean.

An apostle or evangelist
He could want you to be.
Or one who teaches
Or speaks, his prophecy.

A worker in miracles, a healer
Or pastor be.
Being church helps, governments
Or in tongues, diversity.

Unto you God's power
A heart of love.
A peace and joy
On the wings of a dove.

Patience will be given
As a sweet virtue.
Gentleness as soft
As the morning dew.

Goodness shall follow
Wher'ere you go.
Your meekness shall be
As a fawning doe.

Temperance is added
Unto all of these.
For the Lord above
It does please.

Against all this
There is no law.
With your faith in God
You will not fall...

Faith is believing
In the gospel told.
Not needing to feel
Or by sight behold.

That the Lord above
Will keep his word.
Resting assured
Your prayers are heard.

Answering him
Obeying his call.
Not fearing that
Which gives hope to all.

Will evil all around
Each and every day.
Knowing that Christ
Will guide your way.

His great love
Has brought me here.
His hand has wiped
From my eye, a tear.

His power and salvation
Belongs to me.
Because I asked him
To let me see.

My apostleship and grace
From him comes.
For my obedience to faith
I am one of his sons.

Of Christs word
I am not ashamed.
For among his chosen
I am now named!

It is declared
Freedom for all.
Oh behalf of man
Christ fulfilled the law.

The sinner is absolved
From all sin.
While he draws you close
A part of him.

Complete remission
Is given to you.
A chance for life
To begin anew.

Not only acquittal
But approval too.
Not just a pardon
But a place for you.

Salvation imputed
To every daughter and son.
Justified by Christ
The most holy one.
