In His Time
2 Peter 3:8 But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
This scripture is tossed around to mean so many different things. It is not the intent of this article to deal with any of them. Here, I am going to compare mans measure of time against God's measure of time.
That is a rather amazing statement, seeing that God is timeless. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending. The Everlasting to Everlasting.
I am going to use this scripture in an entirely different manner. Not in a "make this a doctrine," format. Just trying, in my meagar brain matter, to give a slight concept of eternity. Also to give a concept of what a "twinkling of an eye," might be.

We humans have no way of measuring a time frame of eternity. It doesn't fit into our heads. It cannot fit in this flesh, for this flesh is on a very definite time schedule, give or take a few years. But, to make things a little simpler in the math department, lets say the average human lives 100 years, just to round it off.

Now, where do I start? Perhaps with the death and resurrection of Christ. We know that this was 2,000 years ago, our time frame. So, by the above scripture, we can say that in God's time, it was 2 days ago. Just a moment, compared with eternity.

The song "Amazing Grace," says: "When we've been there, ten thousand years, we've only just begun." Now, this amount of time in eternity,
would only be 10 days. Let's play with this one just a bit. There are 365 days in a year, that would be 365,000 years in eternity. How far shall
we go with this? To eternity? How about lets take the imagined average life span of a human in the flesh of the above 100 years.

100 years would work out to: 365 days in one year x 100 years = 36,500 days x 1000 = 36,500,000 years! Starting to get the point? This high
number is not eternity, but it does demonstrate how in eternity, time will never be a factor! It is forever, with Christ! Now, before I go any further,
you must also consider eternity in hell. Of eternal torment and punsihment. A totality of horror that is never ending! Where your worm (conscience), never dies! Where you will remain with no hope of return from. Where you will be cognizant of your many chances of not being there,
of knowing, you could have accepted the offer of salvation and shunned it. The 180 degree, complete opposite of heaven.

Now, let's work on a "twinkling of an eye."

Thinking about it, we already have. Man has taken time down to nano-seconds. A nano-second is 1 billionth of 1 second. Or, in reverse
it is 1,000,000,000 nano-seconds make up 1 second. Your computer works in this time frame when doing what is required of it. That pretty much
covers, a twinkling of an eye in man's concept. One day to God, is a twinkling of an eye. But, the church is going to be taken out in a twinkling of
an eye. In God's time frame, that is less than one day. In a moment, we will be changed. From death to life everlasting. Into our glorified bodies. In our perspective, it will be instantaneous. Also, our life spans in the measure of God's time, are but a twinkling of an eye!

So, you see, God does not see time as man see's time. What we consider to be a long time, is to God, but a brief moment. Scripture also tells
us that we are not to think, "where is the promise of his coming?" This shows doubt and lack of faith and leads to false teachings. One of these
teachings is that Christ is not going to remove the church. That all will go through the tribulation.

I am in no way, trying to tell you when Christ is drawing his Bride out. No man can know this, and anyone who sets a date or a year, or believes it when someone does such, is just plain deluded and deceived. Just understand this...the time of the church being drawn out, is imminent! All things are in place. How much time is "imminent?" Well, I cannot tell you how much time that is. But, I can tell you this. It means that if you know not Christ, you don't have much time to consider it. Even if only your lifetime. It is but a moment in time.

Now, there is a time that one can point to pretty closely. That is the amount of time between the Chuch being taken out (the Rapture), and Christ's return (the only return left), to earth. To make war with the anti-christ and to destroy his kingdom on earth. Seven years! The time of great tribulation. But, the true Church will not be here. We will be "returning," to here, with Christ. We will be drawn from the four corners of heaven.

Turn to Christ for your salvation. Time is imminent! There is no other way. Then, these "worries," just pass away. As the Aussies put it..."no worries mate." Then, for you also, these things will be as they should be.

Repent and be baptized, by immersion and in the wonderful name of Jesus the Christ (Saviour), for the remission of your sins. And you will receive the Holy Ghost. We follow the two commands and we are given a promise of fulfillment. He is faithful to his promise to the faithful. We are his desire. Else, he would not have created us in the first place. Place your sins at the feet and under the blood of Jesus. His love is overwhelming in it's totality. Abundant in it's mercy and grace. We love him, because he first loved us. By giving himself upon a cross of shame, as the final sacrifice, in that shedding of his own precious blood, for you and for me. He died and arose, for the sins of the world! He became, sin for us, thereby destroying its hold upon us, if we accept and hold on to "the promise," given to us by our creator. "In his time, in his time. All things are possible, in his time!"
